Program Details
Our award-winning paid internship is full-time and runs for 10 weeks from June to August. It’s designed to give you insight into our business and help you prepare for your future career. You’ll apply everything you know by learning to face real challenges and gain exposure working on real projects. Our interns are paired with an industry-expert mentor to guide them through the best internship experience possible.

Intern Hiring Process
Apply
Most of our internship application process takes place between September and October. Interns are hired across multiple areas of our business. Please be sure to review the job postings closely and apply to all that interest you.
Review
Our Early Career Talent team will review your application profile and cross-reference it with the skills and requirements essential for the position. This is a great time to research CDK to prepare for the next steps.
Screening
If you’re selected to move to the next step, a member of the Early Career Talent Team will reach out to schedule a screening call. This 15-minute phone conversation is an opportunity for us to learn more about you and for you to learn more about CDK and the position you’ve applied for.

Can I apply for multiple intern positions?
Yes! There’s no limit to the number of positions you can apply for. We encourage you to apply for any positions that you’re interested in.
What if I need accommodation during the interview process?
Who is eligible to apply for an internship at CDK?
To be eligible for the summer internship program, you must be a matriculated college student pursuing a bachelor, masters, doctorate or associate degree with a graduation date AFTER the program dates. For example, if you’re applying for the Summer 2025 program, your graduation date could be no earlier than August 2025. You must also be available and eligible to work full-time for the entire 10 weeks of the program from mid-June to mid-August.
When does the internship take place?
Are there any opportunities outside of the summer, such as Co-Ops?
We currently only offer summer internships.
What can I expect from a summer internship at CDK?
The program is built to be holistically developmental for interns. The work that you do will be live projects, working with your team to make a real impact at CDK. Along with your fellow interns, you can also expect professional development workshops, an Executive Leadership series, networking opportunities, social “cool-down” events and volunteer opportunities.
Are there technical interviews?
Interviews can be technical or behavioral, depending on the role. An Early Career Talent Specialist will work with you to schedule the interview and give you any information to help you prepare for it (especially for technical interviews).
Is the internship remote?
Internships are typically hybrid, with the expectation that interns go into the office (Hoffman Estates, IL, Austin, TX, Portland, OR) about 1-2x per week, depending on the position. There are occasionally remote and/or travel positions available, particularly in Customer Success or Sales opportunities.
Can international students apply?
Yes. When hired, your recruiter will work with you for your college’s CPT/OPT application requirements.
